It has been a while since I posted any new information about the Grau DNA Project. I am so involved with other DNA Projects the Grau Project tends to take a back seat because of the lack of interest by Grau researchers.

The project's growth has been quite slow, while the growth of other DNA Projects has remained steady. Some of them have taken off, and the flood of genealogists who use Y-DNA as a research method are now realizing wonderful results.

I am unsure if it is a fear of DNA testing or a lack of knowledge of how to test your male relative. It is certainly easy to test. There is nothing malevolent with Y-DNA testing companies and using your "junk" Y-DNA to find genetic cousins by comparing STR markers. Come on, Grau genealogists! Take the one step that can really help open doors in your Grau research—the more Grau males who Y-DNA test, the better for all Grau genealogists in the long run.
